Open product-information data

Press-on product information observability datasets.

A versioned, row-level record of whether selected product and sizing information was explicit, ambiguous or not observed on a small convenience sample of dated official press-on nail pages.

Version 1.1.0Published 30 August 2026CC BY 4.0

Direct answer

Version 1.1.0 contains 16 page records and 160 recorded checks across product-information and sizing-information resources. It measures information observability only. NAILINK pages and products were excluded from both samples.

Measurement method

What was recorded.

Each row represents a dated observation of an official source page. Ten predefined information fields were checked for each record and coded according to whether the information was explicit, ambiguous or not observed on that page at the time of review.

The product-information resource contains 8 page records. The sizing-information resource contains 8 page records. Together they produce 160 recorded checks. The release package defines the fields, allowed statuses and source URLs so another reader can inspect how the observations were made.

The work is intended to make page-level product-information practices inspectable. It is not a scorecard for the businesses represented in the source pages.

Interpretation boundary

What the data does not establish.

  • The samples are small, selected and non-representative; they do not estimate market-wide prevalence.
  • An explicit field shows that information was observable on the reviewed page. It does not prove the underlying claim is true.
  • The data does not establish product quality, safety, fit, performance, popularity, compliance or customer satisfaction.
  • The package is not product testing, clinical evidence, a compliance assessment, independent editorial coverage, peer review, endorsement or a customer review.
  • Source pages can change after the recorded observation date. Use the dated source and release documentation when interpreting a row.

Authorship and disclosures

Who created it and why that relationship matters.

Jin Bai, founder of NAILINK, created and maintains this author-owned dataset. NAILINK operates in the press-on nail category, so Jin has a commercial interest relevant to the subject. NAILINK pages and products were excluded from both samples, but that exclusion does not make the work independent.

AI-assistance disclosure: AI tools assisted source extraction, data structuring, validation and documentation. Jin Bai reviewed the release and remains responsible for the data, wording and interpretation boundaries. The dated official source pages remain the primary evidence.
